Our History

Since our humble beginnings in 1976 as the Doveton Drop-In, our centre has evolved into a vital community hub where individuals from all walks of life come to learn, share, and grow together. Originally initiated by a trio of dedicated volunteers and supported by the Doveton Community Health Centre, our mission has been to foster a supportive environment that encourages educational and personal development.

What we offer

Located at the heart of the community in a facility renovated in 2003, Doveton Neighbourhood Learning Centre boasts modern classrooms, a computer training room, large hall and versatile community spaces, all designed to meet the diverse needs of our community members. From adult education and training programs to community groups and craft workshops, DNLC offers a wide array of activities aimed at enhancing life skills and promoting well-being.

DNLC offers a range of accessible courses, classes and activities that are responsive to community needs, and provides adult education to enhance skills and developmental opportunities for lifelong learning.
